Optical Express, UK and Europe’s number one provider of laser eye surgery and one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers has today announced the acquisition of North East Opticians.
The acquisition comprises three North East Opticians stores covering high street and prime shopping centre locations across the UK, including The Metro Centre in Newcastle, Sunderland and Yarrow. The stores will each provide the full Optical Express range of products and services, with the former three stores set to become laser consultation centres within the next three months.
Optical Express currently has in excess of 230 stores and 40 clinics across the UK and Europe with further new stores and clinics opening to increase their geographical coverage for optimum patient care. The company’s future expansion plans will create an estimated 1500 new jobs within the next 18 months across the UK.
The company has already made substantial investments of more than and £300 million in the most technologically advanced equipment in the market.
