On the 18th of this month, Optical Express’ Newcastle clinic re-opened after a major refit. Located just off the main shopping street on Northumberland Road, Newcastle City Centre, the clinic offers optical services, laser consultations, and laser eye surgery, as well as dental services and cosmetic surgery consultations, through Optical Express’ brands The Dental Clinic and The Cosmetic Clinic.
While the Newcastle clinic previously consisted of an interior of dark wood panelling – the remnants of an older eye clinic – the new brighter and lighter interior is now consistent with the rest of the Optical Express chain.
The array of frames and brands available has also been expanded as a result of the refit. There are over 1,900 frames to choose from, including Channel, Bulgari, and Fendi, which were not previously available at this location.
Paul Patterson, the clinic’s regional manager, expressed enthusiasm about the refit.
“We are really excited about the way the store looks,” he said. “We are looking forward to customers new and old visiting the store to see for themselves the fantastic product range and choice of services on offer.”
With the ground floor dedicated to frames, lenses and consultations, the second floor is now used for dentistry and laser eye surgeries. The store employs 16 staff members.
